The Plan Of God

God has a plan for your life. His first plan is to be reconciled to God. The provision is Christ, He is the way, the truth and the life.

Lonnie: Today, as I was coming up, there was a guy speaking on the radio, a Lutheran pastor. He talked about this guy he witnessed to. The guy was so caught up in his sin. And he expressed to this guy: “No, God’s grace covers that. And it doesn’t matter that you are in this place, God’s grace will cover it.” See, the part that is lacking is, “God has a great plan for your life. You go on in a changed life style, do what God wants you to do and go where God wants you to go.”

They never bring that out. They like to be stuck in the salvation message, that God will take you in, and cover you and there is nothing else. But, see, that’s what Jesus was saying when He came. God has a plan that is greater, it’s an ongoing thing, a plan is something that goes on and on and on. It’s not something that happens once and is dead and stays in its own place. God’s plan is always in motion. And that’s what He was trying to explain when He came. God has a plan, you have got to get activated, you’ve got to go, guy, and do this stuff to see change happen around you. And that’s where we are at.

That’s why … I have got that thing with the title there, Training Traditions for a Destiny. Because the Church is caught up in these traditions, it is a Christian traditional thing, it is where the Church is stuck in a place of not going with the plan of God. And again, it goes back to Jesus speaking about the Kingdom of God, the Kingdom of God is …

Peggy: So the first plan of God is to be reconciled to God, you know, that mankind would be reconciled to God. Lonnie: That’s the starting point, really. Peggy: And that again goes back to the provision which is Christ. And didn’t Jesus say: I am the way, the truth and the life. So, when man gets stuck in the provisions of men, are they fully developing the life of Christ within them, and are they fully reconciled to the Father? And that’s the key.
